INTRODUCTION QKVALU PLUS is a program that calculates the intrinsic value of commonly traded United States and World gold coins, United States and Canadian silver coins, and Swiss Credit Bank gold bars. The intrinsic value is the actual value of the gold or silver content of a coin or bar, which is expressed in troy ounces, multiplied by the current gold or silver price per troy ounce. Also, QKVALU PLUS is a flat-file database. The flat-file database is provided for the user to create a chart of their gold bars, gold coins, silver bars, and silver coins. The charts represent the approximate value of the fine gold or silver content of the indicated piece. The value doesn't take into consideration the coin or bar's numismatic value or wear, which may occur in circulation. All values are rounded to the nearest cent. QKVALU PLUS is completely menu driven. Just enter the current price of gold or silver. Once a chart is displayed on the monitor's screen, the user may browse forward or backward through the chart or print the chart. Also, there are context sensitive pop-up help windows.
